After the completion of the printed Spicer Chassis Catalog, the need was seen to produce the catalog on CD as well. The design called for a custom application to install on the user's computer which then had the capability of running without the CD. The catalog would be the combination of three printed books with Application, Cross Reference and Specification for every part sold. All the parts within each publication were required to link across each publication. The source data for each publication would need to be filtered and check to ensure all parts linked correctly.
Creative Data, Inc took the source data used for the printed books and created a custom design using Microsoft .NET technology. The final product contains over 150,000 records and includes a full PDF version of the printed catalog with indexing.
